Purpose
Your personal data is used solely for:
- Contacting you when we launch a new citizen science activity that may be of interest to you.
- The proper functioning of citizen science applications (for example, BOINC or PyBossa).
Personal data collected
Personal data is information that identifies, or makes it possible to identify, a person, such as their name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone number.
Recipients of disclosures or transfers
We follow strict security procedures to store your personal data. Under no circumstances do we disclose your information to third parties.
Your rights and how to exercise them
In the circumstances provided for by law, you have the right to:
- Know whether we hold personal data about you and, if so, what data it is and why we hold or use it.
- Access your personal data: receive a copy of the data we hold about you and check that we are processing it lawfully.
- Request the rectification of the data we hold about you, to correct any incomplete or inaccurate information.
- Request the erasure of your data where there are no other legitimate grounds for continuing to process it, or where you have exercised your right to object to the processing.
- Request portability: receive your data, or have us transfer it to a third party, in a structured, commonly used electronic format.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at ethics@ibercivis.es.
You will not have to pay anything to access your data or to exercise any other right. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example, because of its repetitive nature), we may charge a fee proportionate to the administrative cost or refuse to act on it.
If you consider that we have not processed your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
