Research support services

Ibercivis supports citizen science projects throughout their life cycle, from shaping the idea to evaluating their impact.

Our services are open to any person or group: universities, institutions, community networks, schools or members of the public.

What we do

Shaping the idea

We advise on defining and improving citizen science projects so that they are relevant and viable.

Data collection and processing

We provide tools and advice for collecting, managing and analysing data.

Securing resources

We help identify and bring together the human, material and financial resources the project needs.

Adapting methodologies

We provide guidance on choosing and adapting scientific methodologies at each stage of the project.

Impact evaluation

We measure and evaluate the social, environmental and scientific impact of the project.

Presenting results

We support the preparation of reports, presentations and publications to share the results.

Training. Citizen science courses and workshops have their own page: Citizen science training.

Development and platforms

We develop and host technology platforms for citizen science projects: apps, data portals and web servers to manage project data and resources. For projects with heavy computing demands or large volumes of data, we offer our own and external scientific infrastructure, such as BOINC.

Geonity

An app that lets any community create and manage its own citizen science project.

EU-Citizen.Science

The European platform for citizen science and open science.

Open-red

A map of citizen measurements of gamma radiation and light pollution.

CitSci Sort

Collaborative classification of scientific publications on citizen science.

Servet

A community that has helped launch aeronautics projects, with the participation of thousands of people.
