The National Strategy for Scientific and Innovation Culture (ENCCI) 2027-2030 aims to advance the right of everyone to participate in science, promote a public communication of science that strengthens mutual trust between science and society, and contribute to a better-informed democracy.
Before its final approval, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has opened a public information period. This is a mechanism for public participation that gathers the views of the population on the strategic actions that will shape the relationship between science, innovation and society between 2027 and 2030. The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) provides technical coordination and supports the definition, development and monitoring of the measures.
Until 16 October 2026, anyone interested can consult the document and send suggestions, comments and proposals through the form on the ENCCI website. The contributions will help enrich and improve the final text, strengthening relevant aspects and incorporating different perspectives and social needs.
