The Ibercivis Foundation is seeking a highly skilled co-creation, engagement and behavioural change expert to join our team and support the execution of European projects, in coordination with the different R&D units. This role is based in Zaragoza and offers the opportunity to work remotely three days a week with flexible hours.
The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of participatory research methodologies involving quadruple helix stakeholders (academia, private sector, public entities and communities of citizens).
- Design and implementation of different co-creation dynamics tailored to each specific context, project, objectives and stakeholder groups.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage citizens, communities, and stakeholders in the participatory research activities and to encourage the adoption of sustainable behaviours or cause a behavioural transformation.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other engagement activities to build the capacity of citizens to participate in the project and to encourage behaviour change.
- Design and implement evaluation mechanisms and indicators to assess the impact of citizen science projects and participatory research activities in scientific, social, educational and behavioural change terms.
- Contribute to the development of project reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate the project results and impact to a wider audience.
- Support the preparation of new project proposals.
- Support Ibercivis’ positioning, exploitation and internationalisation.
Expected knowledge and skills for the candidate:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, sociology, environmental studies, or a sciences background profile).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading citizen science engagement and co-creation processes, and evaluating their impact on behavioural change.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in working with diverse stakeholders and communities.
- Proficient in English, at least C1 or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of citizen engagement, co-creation and behavioural change theories and practices.
- Experience managing H2020 or Horizon Europe projects and being able to demonstrate their skills in coordinating project activities and communicating with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation techniques, and experience in conducting research to measure the impact of engagement activities.
- Knowledge of community engagement and participation methods, and experience in working with community-based organisations and stakeholders.
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
- Proactivity, critical viewpoint and willingness to contribute.
- Ability to travel, mainly in Europe.
- Desired: previous experience in the field of Citizen Science and/or participatory research.
