El 10º congrso BOINC y computación voluntaria se llevará a cabo del 29 de septiembre al 2 de octubre 2014 en el Instituto SZTAKI en Budapest, Hungría.

El objetivo de este congreso es compartir información sobre proyectos BOINC y utilizarla, a través de presentaciones y discusiones informales, en un ambiente abierto y amistoso. El taller tiene como objetivo estimular nuevos desarrollos y actividades relacionadas con la computación distribuida, y guiar el desarrollo futuro de BOINC.
El taller está dirigido a investigadores, científicos y desarrolladores con experiencia o interés en BOINC. Las áreas de interés incluyen:
-BOINC en Android
-GPU, y las aplicaciones de Android multi-hilo, basados en VM
-Aplicaciones intensivas de datos
-Proyectos multiusuario
-Envío de trabajos a distancia
-Integración con hubs, clouds, grids, and desktop grids
Todos los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de presentar y discutir su trabajo. Las diapositivas se publicará en la web, pero no habrá documentos o procedimientos.

Charlas: Se anima a todos los participantes a dar una corta (20-30 min) charla describiendo sus actividades y planes relacionados con la computación distribuida. Por favor envíe el título de su presentación a David Anderson.
Hackfest: En los días segundo y tercero del taller nos dividiremos en grupos, para hackear, documentar, analizar o conocer algún aspecto de BOINC. Por favor, vengan con ideas.
Para dar más tiempo a proyectos hackfest, estamos extendiendo el taller de 4 días. Sin embargo, le invitamos a asistir sólo los primeros 2 ó 3 días.

A workshop on BOINC and volunteer computing will be held 29 Sept – 2 Oct 2014 at the SZTAKI Institute in Budapest, Hungary.

The objective of this workshop is to share information about BOINC and projects using it, through presentations and informal discussions, in an open and friendly atmosphere. The workshop aims to stimulate new developments and activities related to volunteer computing, and to guide the future development of BOINC.
The workshop is for researchers, scientists and developers with significant experience or interest in BOINC. Areas of interest include:
- BOINC on Android
- GPU, multi-thread, VM-based, and Android applications
- Data-intensive applications
- Multi-user projects
- Remote job submission
- Integration with hubs, clouds, grids, and desktop grids
All participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their work. Slides will be published on the web, but there will be no papers or proceedings.

–Talks: All participants are encouraged to give a short (20-30 min) talk describing their activities and plans related to volunteer computing. These talks do not have to be polished, or present results. Please send your talk title to David Anderson.
–Hackfest: On the 2nd and 3rd days of the workshop we’ll divide into groups, to hack, document, discuss or learn some aspect of BOINC. Please come with ideas.
To allow more time for hackfest projects, we’re extending the workshop to 4 days. However, you’re welcome to attend only the first 2 or 3 days.
